Ohgishi Industry has an in-house education program named ‘Manufacturing College’ for young employees who have been with the company for 2-3years, to help them acquire solid knowledge and skills. Participants learn, in small classes, the theories that underlie their everyday work. This is a meaningful training system in terms of proper handing down of technologies. Employees who completed this program have been displaying more proactive and confident work performance than before. Participation is not limited to those who graduated from engineering schools. Many employees join this program by recommendation of their superiors or on their own initiative, aiming at improving their technical skills. |
